Google’s next Made By Google event is August 12 in New York City. The Pixel 11 is coming. And it’ll probably cost more.
The teaser image shows a phone that looks a lot like the Pixel 10. No surprises there. The most notable rumored design change is “Pixel Glow” — a rear-facing notification light.
The bigger story is pricing. Google is reportedly ditching 128GB as the base storage. Both the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will start at 256GB. That means the US prices would land at $899 and $1,099 respectively — $100 more than last year. The Pro XL could hit $1,299, and the Pro Fold might go as high as $1,899.
Blame the AI-driven component shortage. Memory prices are up across the board. Apple raised prices too. Google’s just following the trend.
The Pixel Watch 5 will probably show up too. Same design, but it might swap Qualcomm’s chip for a Google-designed Tensor. That transition was rocky on phones, so it’s worth watching how it performs on a watch battery.
One change: the event starts at 6 PM ET instead of the usual morning slot. Evening keynote, same August date.
