Standard Chartered Predicts Aave Could Hit $3,500 by 2030

Standard Chartered is making a bold bet on DeFi lending protocol Aave, projecting the token could reach $3,500 by the end of 2030 — a 50x gain from current levels.

The bank’s forecast is based on DeFi asset growth projections and Aave’s recovery from the KelpDAO incident. If it plays out, that would make Aave one of the standout performers in the crypto space over the next four years.

It’s not just a price prediction. Standard Chartered described the opportunity as creating “generational wealth,” language you don’t often hear from a traditional bank about a DeFi token. The projection signals that major financial institutions are getting comfortable enough with crypto to put real price targets on assets.

Whether $3,500 materializes depends on the broader DeFi market growing into the bank’s projections. But the fact that a legacy institution is publishing 50x upside targets on governance tokens would have been unthinkable two years ago.

Take it with the usual caveat: price predictions from banks are still predictions. But when the bank is Standard Chartered and the target is 50x, people listen.
