TV Time, the app millions used to track what they’re watching, is shutting down on July 15. Parent company Whip Media is pivoting to enterprise AI products instead.
The app let users log shows and movies, see what friends were watching, and get recommendations. It built a real community around TV habits. But that’s not where the money is anymore, apparently.
Whip Media hasn’t shared details on what the AI pivot looks like. The company will focus on enterprise products serving the media and entertainment industry — where their data on viewing habits might still have value for studios and networks.
For the millions who used TV Time to track their binges, July 15 is the deadline. Export your data before then, or lose it.
