Peter Brandt Predicts Exact Day Bitcoin Bear Market Ends

Veteran commodity trader Peter Brandt has pinpointed October 2026 as the moment Bitcoin’s bear market finally exhausts itself, telling investors that buying BTC today will outperform AI stocks over a two-to-three-year horizon. In a weekend interview, the founder of Factor LLC argued that Bitcoin’s current consolidation mirrors the 2015-2016 and 2018-2019 basing periods that preceded explosive rallies, and that the logarithmic chart structure points to a final low before year-end.

Brandt’s track record includes calling the 2017 top within weeks and identifying the 2020 COVID crash bottom in real time. He now sees Bitcoin trading in a “massive” descending broadening wedge that resolves when price reclaims the 200-week moving average — a level currently near $58,000. Until that reclaim happens, he warns, rallies will be sold and volatility will frustrate both bulls and bears.

The analyst dismissed comparisons to the dot-com bubble, noting that Bitcoin’s adoption curve resembles early internet infrastructure more than speculative equity. “You’re not buying a stock,” Brandt said. “You’re buying a monetary network that settles $10 trillion annually with zero counterparty risk.” He added that institutional allocation remains below 1% of global assets, leaving enormous room for the demand shock that historically follows each halving cycle.

For now, Brandt advises patience. “The bottom is a process, not a day,” he said, “but the process ends in October.” As reported by Cointelegraph.
