Apple Reportedly Raising AppleCare Plus Prices for Macs and iPads

Apple is increasing the price of AppleCare Plus subscriptions for Macs and iPads, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, with monthly charges rising by $0.50 and annual plans increasing by $5 for new subscribers.

Under the new pricing, a plan for a new 13-inch MacBook Air increases to $7.99 per month from $7.49, or $79.99 annually from $74.99. Existing subscribers will retain their current rates. The move follows a similar price increase for iPhone AppleCare Plus plans last year.

The pricing changes have not yet appeared on Apple’s US website or terms of service pages, and Apple has not responded to requests for comment on the reported increase.
