Two Traders Sue Polymarket Over Disputed Strategy Bitcoin Sale Resolution

Two traders are taking Polymarket to court. They claim the platform wrongly resolved a market about Strategy selling bitcoin as “No.”

The dispute centers on a market asking whether Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) sold any BTC between certain dates. The plaintiffs say Strategy’s own SEC filing shows the company sold 32 Bitcoin between May 26 and May 31. That should mean “Yes,” not “No.”

Polymarket resolved it the other way. Now the traders want the court to sort it out.

Prediction markets rely on trusted resolution sources. When those sources conflict with public filings, things get messy fast. This case could set a precedent for how these platforms handle disputed outcomes.

Neither Polymarket nor Strategy has commented publicly on the lawsuit.
