OLED gaming monitors are finally hitting prices that don’t require a second mortgage. A 27-inch 1440p 240Hz OLED just dropped to $349.
That’s OLED for what you’d normally pay for a decent IPS panel. The deal targets gamers who’ve been waiting for OLED pricing to fall from the $800-$1,000 range.
Specs-wise you’re getting the usual OLED advantages: perfect blacks, instant pixel response, no backlight bleed. The 240Hz refresh rate is smooth even for competitive titles. 1440p is the sweet spot for gaming — sharp enough without demanding a $2,000 GPU to drive it.
The price suggests OLED manufacturing has matured enough that the premium over LCD is shrinking fast. A year ago, $349 might have gotten you a decent 27-inch IPS. Now it gets you OLED.
