2.2 Million Hotels Now Accept XRP for Bookings via Travala

Travel platform Travala just flipped a switch: over 2.2 million hotels worldwide are now bookable with XRP. Instant confirmation. No banks involved.

Travala posted on X that this is what real crypto adoption looks like. Hard to argue. XRP was built to move value fast, and hotel bookings fit that use case neatly.

This isn’t a small pilot. We’re talking about over 3 million travel products globally accessible with XRP on Travala. One of the biggest consumer industries on the planet — travel and hospitality — just got a direct XRP on-ramp.

It follows a string of utility wins for Ripple’s token. Earlier this year, x402 went live on the XRP Ledger, letting AI agents pay for services with XRP and RLUSD. No API keys. No accounts. Nearly a million agent transactions have settled through that system already.

Ripple also dropped the XRPL AI Starter Kit in June — developer tools for building AI agents that can send payments on the XRP Ledger. And they’ve joined Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines initiative, helping set the rules for agent-driven payments.

Real-world use. Growing fast.
