If you’ve been eyeing a Matic robot vacuum, now’s the time to buy. The price is going up $250 on September 9th — from $1,245 to $1,495.
Matic told The Verge the hike is due to rising component costs. Memory and other parts have gone up tenfold. Ouch.
Order direct from the company before the increase and you’ll get a year of replacement bags ($96 value) for free. They also extended the return policy from 60 days to six months. That’s a solid deal.
The Matic is our top-rated robot vacuum for a reason. Reviewer Jennifer Pattison Tuohy ran it for six months in a cluttered three-story home with pets, thick rugs, and high transitions. It got stuck twice. That’s it.
It handles tough layouts, delivers strong suction, and has a self-cleaning roller mop. Runs quiet too — won’t drive you crazy if you work from home. It’ll keep vacuuming even if the water tank runs dry.
Low maintenance is the real selling point. No giant dock. It carries its own water tank and stores dirty water in a disposable bag. Just empty and clean the reservoir now and then. It even drives itself to the sink when it needs more water.
Biggest differentiator: it works fully offline. Maps and data stay local, not in the cloud. That’s rare in this category.
At $1,245 it’s already pricey. At $1,495 it’ll still be a great vacuum — just a harder pill to swallow. If you want one, buy before September.
