Robinhood Chain Goes Live on Mainnet With Tokenized Stocks and Planned AI Trading

Robinhood Chain is live. The Layer 2 network, built on Arbitrum’s tech stack, hit public mainnet with Uniswap on board from day one.

The chain brings 24/7 tokenized stock trading — a big departure from traditional markets that close at 4 PM and stay shut on weekends. It’s part of Robinhood’s broader push into crypto-native financial products.

Lighter perpetuals (perps) are also launching, and Robinhood has agentic crypto trading on the roadmap. The bet is that users want round-the-clock access to traditional assets wrapped in crypto infrastructure, plus the ability to automate trading strategies with AI agents.

This puts Robinhood in direct competition with other L2s and tokenization platforms. The key differentiator: Robinhood’s existing user base of millions of retail traders who already trust the platform for stocks and crypto. If even a fraction of them start using the chain, it could drive significant volume.
