Bitcoin maximalist Samson Mow has declared that the latest crypto downturn is over. The Jan3 CEO isn’t relying on traditional technical analysis, he’s pointing to a different signal: a massive wall of limit buy orders sitting at $58,000.
His reasoning breaks from conventional cycle models. Mow notes that Bitcoin hit a new all-time high 37 days before the most recent halving — something that’s never happened before. His argument: if you believe in cycles at all, you have to accept they’ve accelerated. The old models expecting capitulation months after the halving don’t apply anymore.
He didn’t hold back on critics. “I find it incredibly interesting how some people are so certain the bottom is coming in 4 months because ‘cycles.’ But we had an ATH 37 days before the halving, so it would seem even if you believe in cycles you should reason out the cycles accelerated. The bottom is in,” Mow posted on X.
The $58,000 limit order wall is what gives him confidence. That level represents substantial buy-side demand — enough to absorb serious selling pressure. Whether he’s right or wrong, Mow has a track record of making bold calls and backing them with real money. This time he’s repeating the same playbook: big conviction, simple thesis, and he’s willing to let the market prove him wrong.
