Leaked photos and component lists for the iPhone 18 Pro have appeared on the dark web, according to Reuters. The images show what appears to be a drop test of Apple’s upcoming flagship, complete with a three-camera layout and the Apple logo. At least six files detail the hundreds of components in the device along with their suppliers.
This follows a data breach at Tata Electronics, one of Apple’s key suppliers based in India. The company manufactures iPhone components and assembles devices, and confirmed last week that it had been hit by a cyberattack. The ransomware group World Leaks posted more than 200,000 files from the breach on the dark web.
AppleInsider separately reported that the leaked documents include what appear to be board schematics for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, plus data sheets for the rumored A20 Pro chip and C2 modem files. Reuters says Apple is “concerned about the documents being shared on the dark web” but hasn’t commented publicly.
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to launch in September with a redesigned camera system. These leaks give an unusually early look at the hardware — from pre-production units that were clearly never meant to leave the supply chain. For Apple, it’s a supply chain security problem that’s been brewing for years. For the rest of us, it’s a surprisingly detailed preview of what’s coming this fall.
