Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t even announced their wedding date, but prediction markets are already going wild. Kalshi, a regulated prediction platform, has seen over $4 million in trading volume on everything from the venue to the bridesmaids.
The venue is the hottest market. New York holds an 80% chance on Kalshi, while Polymarket puts Manhattan specifically at 85%. A street-closure permit filed near Madison Square Garden for July 3 has only fueled the date speculation — though neither Swift nor Kelce appears on the permit. Kalshi gives the odds at 95.5% that the wedding happens this year.
On the bettor’s side, Jason Kelce leads as the most likely groomsman at 89%, followed by Patrick Mahomes at 72%. For bridesmaids, Abigail Anderson Berard holds 85% odds for maid of honor, with Selena Gomez at 76% and Gigi Hadid at 54%. Blake Lively and Brittany Mahomes have both fallen to 8% — don’t count them out yet, but the market isn’t optimistic.
The Swift-Kelce surge is part of a much broader prediction market boom. Kalshi’s monthly active users hit 865,411 in March 2026, up 118% from the prior year. Monthly notional volume reached $23.89 billion — a 1,107% increase year-over-year. The company is now reportedly seeking a $40 billion valuation.
One notable shift: Kalshi says the share of female traders on its platform doubled over the past year. Celebrity markets clearly pull in folks who wouldn’t normally bet on, say, Fed rate decisions. Whether that growth is sustainable or just a pop-culture moment remains to be seen.
