Nebulock Secures $25M to Build AI-Powered Threat Hunting Platform

Cybersecurity startup Nebulock has raised $25 million in Series A funding, bringing total investment in the Boston-based company to over $33 million.

The round was led by FirstMark, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Decibel, Step Function, and Zetta Venture Partners.

Nebulock emerged from stealth a year ago with a focus on autonomous threat hunting that works across endpoints, cloud, and identity systems — whatever vendors a company uses. The platform has since expanded into proactive detection and behavioral analytics powered by AI.

What sets Nebulock apart is correlation. The system tracks human accounts, AI agents, and host activity across endpoint, network, cloud, and SaaS environments, then flags behaviors that might look harmless individually but point to compromise when viewed together.

“The attacker has become more agentic faster than defenders have become proactive,” CEO Damien Lewke said. “Breaches used to take months. Now they take tokens.”

The company plans to use the new funding to deepen its behavioral detection capabilities and grow its engineering and sales teams.
