Invesco Enters Tokenized Stablecoin Reserve Market

Invesco, a trillion-dollar asset manager, is launching a fund focused on the tokenized stablecoin reserve sector. The move signals another major traditional finance player pushing deeper into crypto infrastructure.

The fund will invest primarily in U.S. Treasuries, repo agreements, and cash equivalents to maintain a stable $1 net asset value. It’s a structure designed to appeal to institutional investors who want exposure to the stablecoin ecosystem without taking on crypto price risk.

This isn’t just exploratory. Invesco is putting real weight behind tokenized assets, reflecting growing comfort among large managers that on-chain financial infrastructure is here to stay. The tokenization market has picked up pace this year, with BlackRock and Franklin Templeton also expanding their offerings.

The SEC’s recent guidance on tokenized securities has helped clear the path. For firms like Invesco, the regulatory picture looks less cloudy than it did even a year ago.
