Apple Watch SE 3 drops to $199 for Prime Day — the best value in Apple’s lineup

The Apple Watch SE 3 is down to $199 for Amazon Prime Day, and honestly, it’s the best Apple Watch for most people right now. Last year’s model was already a sleeper hit — this year it’s just a no-brainer at this price.

Unlike the Series 11 and Ultra 3, which were pretty iterative updates, the SE 3 got a proper overhaul. You’re getting an always-on display, wrist-temperature sensor, 5G connectivity, fast charging, a speaker, and a newer processor that’ll support watchOS 27 when it drops this fall. Not bad for $199.

The 40mm size is worth considering too, especially if you’ve got smaller wrists. During testing, there was no real sense of missing out compared to the pricier models. The only things you don’t get are the thinner bezels and the EKG/atrial fibrillation detection from the Series 11.

Speaking of which — the Series 11 is also on sale for $279, which is $50 off its usual price. So if those health features matter to you, that’s not a bad deal either.

One heads-up for bargain hunters: we’ll probably see a Series 12 in a few months, but the SE line likely won’t get updated for at least another year. If you need a watch now, the SE 3 at $199 is the move.
