Fable’s Got Over 150,000 Lines of Dialogue, and Yeah, That’s a Lot

Playground Games just dropped a number that’s hard to wrap your head around: the upcoming Fable reboot will ship with more than 150,000 lines of recorded dialogue. Let that sink in for a second.

To pull that off, the studio had multiple recording studios running in parallel for over 1,000 hours this year alone. That’s just voice work — not counting motion capture, scripting, or any of the other thousand things that go into making a modern RPG. It’s a staggering amount of content, and it suggests Playground Games is aiming for a world that feels genuinely alive and reactive.

Whether all those lines land well is another story. But you can’t accuse them of not trying.
