Ripple Officially Listed on ESMA MiCA Register as EU-Compliant Crypto Service Provider

Ripple has been officially added to the European Securities and Markets Authority register as a Crypto Asset Service Provider under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation. The listing confirms that Ripple meets MiCA’s requirements for operating across the European Union.

The registration follows Ripple’s receipt of full CASP authorization from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, which serves as the company’s EU regulatory gateway. With this approval, Ripple can offer its crypto services across all 27 EU member states under the MiCA framework.

MiCA, which took full effect for crypto asset service providers in June 2026, requires companies to obtain authorization in at least one EU member state before offering services across the bloc. The regulation covers custody, exchange, and transfer services for cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.

For Ripple, the MiCA registration is strategically important as the company seeks to expand its payments and settlement services in Europe. Ripple’s XRP token and its RLUSD stablecoin can now be offered to EU customers within the regulated framework.

The registration also provides Ripple with a competitive advantage over some US-based competitors that have not yet obtained MiCA authorization. As Europe becomes an increasingly important market for digital assets, regulatory compliance has become a key differentiator for service providers.
