There’s a good deal on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 right now at $378. But there’s a better one on something near-identical: the Xtra Muse, now down to $329.
That’s about $100 less than it sold for three months ago. And according to The Verge’s Sean Hollister, the Muse “appears to be the same product in almost every palpable way.” DJI won’t comment on any involvement with Xtra, but the resemblance is hard to miss.
The Muse is great for vlogging — same gimbal-stabilized form factor, similar video quality. At launch it couldn’t connect to Bluetooth mics, which was a problem if you wanted to use DJI’s wireless mics. But a February firmware update fixed that. Now it works with DJI Mic 2, Mini Mini, Mic 3, and others.
At $329 this is the lowest price yet. If you want pocket-sized stabilized footage without dropping $500 on the real deal, this is worth a look.
