The Czinger 21C Is a 1,250 HP Hypercar — and a Business Card for 3D Printing

Numbers first. The Czinger 21C packs a 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 that hits 11,000 rpm. Three electric motors add to the party. Combined output: 1,250 hp. Zero to 60 in 1.92 seconds. Quarter mile in 8.6 seconds. Top speed of 253 mph. Price tag: $2.35 million.

Impressive. But you’re missing the point if you stop there.

The 21C is really a demonstration vehicle for Divergent Technologies, the parent company behind Czinger. Divergent specializes in generative design software and large-scale 3D metal printing. Instead of starting with manufacturing constraints and designing around them, they flip the process. Software optimizes every component for load, stiffness, and weight. Then printers build them directly from powdered metal.

The result? Parts that look organic — branching lattice structures, skeletal shapes that wouldn’t be possible with casting or machining. Suspension components, gearbox cases, even the rear subframe are 3D-printed. The passenger sits behind the driver, fighter-jet style.

Only 80 will be built. Assembly is done by hand in Torrance, California. But the long-term plan is bigger. Divergent wants this process to be how everything is made — not just hypercars, but parts for Aston Martin, Bugatti, anyone. Same factory, zero retooling time.
