After months of frustrating underperformance, the ETH/BTC pair is finally showing some life.
Trader CarpeNoctom points out the daily chart is hovering at 0.028 and testing a convergence of technical buy signals. That includes a descending pitchfork channel Ethereum’s been stuck inside since late 2025.
Right now, ETH/BTC is interacting with a thick Ichimoku Kumo cloud and a “mega diagonal resistance” trendline. If Ethereum can break through both, there’s a clear path to the 0.036 zone by late summer.
But here’s the thing: this pair has a history of head fakes. CarpeNoctom says they won’t touch it until they see confirmation of a breakout. Smart move.
Meanwhile, Ethereum’s core developers aren’t sitting still. After a research summit in Berlin, Vitalik Buterin published “Lean Ethereum” — the network’s third major protocol iteration. It’s a multi-year rebuild as significant as The Merge. The four-year upgrade cycle touches almost every core mechanism.
The pieces are there. The question is whether they’ll line up in time for a real breakout.
