Why buy this over Samsung’s Frame TV? Price, mostly. The Hisense Canvas competes directly with Samsung’s art TV line but costs way less. ZDNET’s editor in chief reviewed it and recommended it over the Frame.
It’s a QLED set with a matte anti-reflection finish. Wooden borders make it look like actual framed art, not a TV. There’s a dedicated art mode that cycles through your own collection or works from featured artists.
You get a 144Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision HDR support. There’s an ambient light sensor that adjusts brightness automatically.
One thing buyers seem to prefer: Google’s OS over Samsung’s Tizen. That’s the native system on the Hisense.
The previous Canvas model was ZDNET’s #5 top-selling TV of 2025. Not bad.
Art TVs aren’t for everyone. If you want the absolute best picture quality, go for a premium OLED. But if you want a TV that blends into your living room decor and doesn’t scream “screen” when it’s off, this is the move. Especially at this price.
