Avalanche Treasury Stock Craters 73% as AVAX Holdings Tank

Avalanche Treasury stock has lost 73% of its value since it started trading. The company that holds AVAX tokens for strategic purposes is running on fumes.

At the end of Q1, management raised "substantial doubt" about whether the company can keep operating.

The problem is straightforward. Avalanche Treasury holds a massive amount of AVAX. AVAX has fallen hard. So the company’s primary asset is worth much less than it used to be.

That is a rough position to be in. When your main asset is the token of the ecosystem you are supposed to support, and that token drops, there is no easy backup plan.

The stock debuted with a lot of hype around the Avalanche ecosystem. Now investors are watching a slow-motion unwind. Management has not announced any specific turnaround strategy yet.

Whether Avalanche Treasury can find a way through this — or whether it becomes a cautionary tale about single-asset treasury risk — depends on what happens next. Right now the clock is ticking.
