Apple is working on something new. According to Bloomberg, the company is developing a redesigned version of its entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro that could arrive in the first half of 2027.
The new design will reportedly be in line with what Apple’s planning for its touch-screen MacBooks. Those are expected between late 2026 and early 2027, and Bloomberg says they’ll feature a Dynamic Island-like cutout at the top of the screen.
Apple just updated the base MacBook Pro in October with the M5 chip. An M6 version is in the works and should launch this year, keeping the current design. Then in 2027, Apple shifts to the M7 line with Pro and Max chips, and that’s when the redesign hits.
Bloomberg also reports Apple is testing four new iPad Pros for a spring 2027 launch. They’ll keep the 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes and focus on internal improvements. The last iPad Pro update was October 2025 with the M5 chip.
