If you’ve been eyeing Apple’s AirPods Max 2, Walmart has them right now for $399, that’s $150 off the regular $549 price. There’s a catch though: Amazon already sold out at its discounted price, and Walmart has limited stock. This deal probably won’t last the weekend.
The AirPods Max 2 are Apple’s flagship over-ear headphones. They look almost identical to the original but pack noticeably better sound, improved noise cancellation that actually competes with Sony and Bose, and Apple’s H2 chip enabling features like live translation and adaptive audio.
They’re not perfect. The price is still steep even at $399. The heavy build can cause fatigue during long sessions. There’s no proper power button, which remains annoying. And that case Apple includes is more of a cosmetic cover than actual protection.
Still, if the clamping force and weight work for your head, the audio quality is genuinely good. Bass doesn’t get boomy, you actually hear the low tones clearly. And the software features like conversation awareness and live translation are useful if you’re deep in the Apple ecosystem.
At $479, Best Buy also has a deal, but Walmart’s $399 is the best price we’ve seen. Grab it before it’s gone.
