Apple just raised prices across its iPad and MacBook lineup, but there’s still a window to grab current-gen hardware at the old prices — if you act fast.
Retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are still clearing inventory at pre-increase prices, and in some cases, the discounts are substantial. The M4-powered iPad Air with Wi-Fi and 128GB of storage hit a record low of $519 during Prime Day. Amazon has since sold out, but Best Buy is still offering it at that price — $230 below Apple’s new list price. The LTE version is available on Amazon for $699, which is $200 off the new MSRP.
The iPad Air M4 is a solid middle ground between the entry-level iPad and the Pro. You get Apple’s M4 chip, 12GB of RAM, Apple Intelligence features, Apple Pencil Pro support, and newer connectivity like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. It’s a more future-proof option than the base iPad, which still uses last-gen specs.
If the Air isn’t your style, there are deals across the lineup. The entry-level iPad (2025) is down to $299 at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy — that’s $150 off the original price. The iPad Mini (2024) is $499.99 at Amazon and $449 at Best Buy. Even the iPad Pro with the M5 chip is seeing discounts, starting at $899 for the 11-inch model.
These won’t last much longer. Retailers are burning through old inventory, and once it’s gone, you’ll be paying Apple’s new prices. If you’ve been on the fence about a new iPad, now’s the time.
